Born out of a shared passion between an Australian husband and a Panamanian wife, Moon Valley Coffee Co. was founded with a simple yet profound mission: to introduce the exceptional taste of Panamanian coffee to the world while honoring the people and the environment behind it. The name “Chiriquí,” meaning “Valley of the Moon” in the Ngäbe language, reflects the mystical allure of this volcanic region—where abundant rainfall and a unique microclimate create the perfect environment for cultivating coffee beans. We work directly with local farmers and the Ngäbe-Buglé community, who carry forward centuries of tradition in sustainable farming practices and coffee craftsmanship.
